Beautiful earthenware Chevet Pleine plate with Iznik Tulipe decoration entirely handcrafted by our master craftsmen. The large scallops of the Chevet Pleine style are entirely cut by hand.
These iconic petal edged plates are entirely handmade in our atelier in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, France.
The skilled decorator then paints freehand on the raw glaze, applying oxide-based colours with a brush, a technique dating back to the 18th century, which allows for the complete fusion of the decoration and the glaze.
No two plates are ever identical - the slight variations of brushstrokes and colour are the signature of genuine handcraft, making each plate a one-of-a-kind work of art.
